A Card A Day August Day 19 & 20

Day 19 Card 19
For this card, I used the party hats from the What A Hoot stamp set by CTMH. I stamped clusters of four, three and two.
I colored my pieces using two shades of green prismacolor pencils and cut them out.
I then attached my pieces together, stacking them from largest to smallest with some foam tape. This created a tree.
Like all great trees, it needed some ornaments so I added some flowers using the eye option from the same stamp set.
In order to give it more personality, I added some liquid glass from CTMH in the flowers. A star gem tips the tree as a finishing touch.
With a white gel pen I added some snow specks and a snow shadow line at the bottom of the tree.
I added a white banner on the top right so that I may add a sentiment at a later time.

Day 20 Card 20
For this card, I used the owl from the What A Hoot Stamp set by CTMH along with the eye options and the flowers. I stamped lots of the eye options in clusters to make different flowers.
I colored and drew stems out for my flowers.
I knew I wanted to make a vase with my owl body, so I added a grey oval to my background. This will make my vase look dimensional. I arranged my flowers, some directly onto the card base others with foam tape and some just secured with the stems.
Once I was happy with my placement, I added my owl body on top with some foam tape.
. I was very happy with the overall look of this card. As we get closer to the end of the month, I'm begining to feel the challenge. I was stumped for a bit trying to create something different. After a few hours, yes, hours of moving the shapes around, I noticed the vase/cup shape that can be achieved by the owl. Then, it was just a matter if filling it up.
