Using the What A Hoot stamp set by Close to my Heart has been so much fun but it's getting harder and harder each day to create something different. So for this card, I played with the bat wing to create an umbrella.
This was one of those cards that took a while to create simply because I didn't really know where I was headed with it. So I decided to practice my coloring skills with some water colors and incorporate my umbrella. The ribbon serves as my tree branch. It's ready for a sentiment.
Day 25 Card 25
This card was so easy I had to make two. Using the wing from the stamp set, I stamped it in some yellow cardstock.
I then cut them out along with some small red hearts. I used foam tape to secure them on my card base and a gel pen to create a flight pattern.
as simple as it is...the bee is my favorite so far. So clever!
ReplyDeleteI agree! It was one of those that could'nt BEE moments! I could make that card over and over.
DeleteYou're certainly making that stamp set go a long way. I usually use my stamps just once or twice, which is a huge waste of money. You've shown me how you can use the same simple design for different things with a bit of creativity making leaves, wings, bees, etc. Just brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI understand completely which is why I created this challenge...my hubby asked you ever use these things?
DeleteLoving those and thanks for the umbrella. :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking of you when I made it. I had tried it before but felt it was too small, I hope it looks ok.
DeleteYour newest card rocks! ....hmmm....maybe turn the owl body around....make him a ghost? Halloween's just around the corner......I know this 'cause Walmart is already selling costumes and candy! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have a few eerie cards in me... Stay tuned!
