For this card, I used the owl from the What A Hoot stamp set by CTMH. I masked the eye area leaving the beak only.
I added a sentiment in a white stripe of cardstock.
I then drew a tail using an "S" shape. The beauty of this stamp set is that it had a sketched look that can be mimicked easily since the lines don't have to be straight.
I used some water colors to color them in. I also stamped the crown and party hat.
I added some googley eyes and drew a mouth and some whiskers. I also added an oval teal mat for my background. This just added some contrast to my base. Some liquid glass as a finishing touch on my hat and crown.
This card is "purr"fect for a birthday.

DeleteWhat a clever idea! I just got my stamp set in the mail yesterday and was trying to think up new ways of using the owls. (I do CTMH too). Very cute!
