Day 23 Card 23

I've been sharing my cards on my FB page and recently got a request to to a dog card since I hade previously created the cat card. I was up for the challenge, but I reminded them that I was using the What a Hoot stamp set by CTMH as my main elements.

 The cuties that will serve as inspiration for my card. 

I masked and stamped the owl bodies onto some watercolor paper. I then colored them in trying to go by my reference picture.

I then stretched a dog's muzzle on a practice sheet and once I was happy with its look, I cut it out and traced it into my water color paper.

The rest was just adding embellishments.  I used foam tape to add the mouth and googley eyes. I gave each fellow a party hat and added a sentiment and of course you can't party without cake, so a added a cupcake.

I think I achieved my purpose of making a dog card that resembles the puppy pack from the picture. What do you all think?
