Day 18 Card 18

For today's card, I stamped the large owl's tummy only.  From playing with it, I thought  it would make the perfect petal shape. 

I cut and curled all my pieces with a pen.

I then created a five petal flower using a piece of foam tape to secure them.

Then I added a second layer. 

This created a very substantial flower that would be perfect as the main element for my card. I stamped a center using one of the eye options from the stamp set. 

Then I got carried away with some wink of Stella shimmer and liquid glass shine and dimension. It was a bit much but the large flower was calling for something  and I listened.

On a white base I stamped my sentiment and used up some leaves from a previous card.

Here's a close up of the topshine and shimmer. This made me think that these pieces would make a great poinsettia...maybe next time.
