A Card A Day August Card 24 & 25

Day 24 Card 24
Using the What A Hoot stamp set by Close to my Heart has been so much fun but it's getting harder and harder each day to create something different. So for this card, I played with the bat wing to create an umbrella.
This was one of those cards that took a while to create simply because I didn't really know where I was headed with it. So I decided to practice my coloring skills with some water colors and incorporate my umbrella. The ribbon serves as my tree branch. It's ready for a sentiment.

Day 25 Card 25

This card was so easy I had to make two.  Using the wing from the stamp set, I stamped it in some yellow cardstock.
I then cut them out along with some small red hearts. I used foam tape to secure them on my card base and a gel pen to create a flight pattern.
I loved this card to much I had to make another one. Using a sharpie oil pen, I wrote hello on a card base and then added my bee and heart. I was able to practice my lettering skills. These cards are on my top favs list. So quick to create and they are bee-autiful!

  2. You're certainly making that stamp set go a long way. I usually use my stamps just once or twice, which is a huge waste of money. You've shown me how you can use the same simple design for different things with a bit of creativity making leaves, wings, bees, etc. Just brilliant!

    1. I was thinking of you when I made it. I had tried it before but felt it was too small, I hope it looks ok.
