A Card A Day August Card 29

Day 29 Card 29
Summer has come and gone. The best part of summer is definetly the ice cream. I  think I bleed ice cream. If it's frozen, I love it! In honor of my love of ice cream, I used the What A Hoot Stamp set by CTMH to creat some Popsicles.

Using the smaller owl, I masked off the inside detail and used it as my basic shape. I colored them by using some water colors in yellow and orange. I was going for lemon  and orange flavors. I also created an oval of each color to give the Popsicle dimension later.

I cut a Popsicle stick in half and glued it to the back of my cut image. I also cut my oval piece an added an outline at the bottom.
I placed the oval pieces behind the Popsicle sticks in each ice treat. This makes it look like the stick is actually going trough the Popsicle.
I wanted something special on my card so I added some lace trim. It had some green which matched my card base.

I stamped a sentiment below my bow and attached my Popsicle with foam tape.
The result was this very bright card. The colors are perfect for a summer party.  It looks very realistic. I could just eat them.

  2. That is just the coolest! Ha, Ha, get it . . . cool-est! Seriously Sandra I am just in awe of the creativity and imagination you have put into these cards. I love this one probably because orange creamsicles are my favorite Popsicle. They look good enough to eat for sure!
